Most of my lenses have a seventy seven mm filter diameter, and smaller lens diameters can also be easily used with this filter by way of adding a step-up ring. I counsel using this Hoya filter with an older DSLR camera which has a much less rigid sizzling mirror filter cutting off IR wavelengths in front of the sensor. Necessary exposure times with the filter hooked up vary between 5-20 2ds. The filter is neatly constructed and has a good screw-in thread.

This is a superb filter!....from the very starting, after I first tried to make use of this filter, I obtained glorious shots!...
And, there is nothing troublesome about learning the easiest way to use it. Simple, easy, simple!..
I have two (2) video/slideshows on youtube showing all of the glorious photos I've taken with this most
amazing filter. I simply delivered some tune to it, and its a pleasure to watch. Its unfortunate that I can't
post the video/slideshow here, however the file is too massive.
But, if someones concerned about infrared photography, I can extremely recommend it!..
